Rich Internet Technology Patent?
I thought I had seen it all, but apparently not. Someone has got a patent approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for any type of Rich Client Technology (patent no. 7,000,180)?!
I first thought it was a hoax (and I still hope it is), but apparently not. It is going to very interesting to see how this is going to end with all the BIG players (IBM, Oracle, Adobe Macromedia, Microsoft etc...) aggressively working on their new rich Internet technology stacks. Not to say how this will impact all the niche players offering feature rich components and open source project providing rich Internet solutions.
